Customer Due Diligence

Under AUSTRAC’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws, real estate and buyer’s agents must conduct mandatory Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on property buyers and sellers. For a buyer or seller, this means providing more formal identification, proof of wealth, and documentation early in the selling or purchasing process.
